From the Rev. John Graham:
Our cat, Sam, has dementia. He's confused, gets lost, and yowls a lot. But the vet says as long as he's interested in food and the people who give him food, life is good.
Sounds like us, right? God gives us things to care about. Because of this, we sometimes feel hopeful, sometimes worried, sometimes affectionate, sometimes angry. They're all blessings. They mean we're interested in something, and when we're interested, life is good.
He gets on my last nerve when he does it, but it's reassuring when Sam pesters me till I give him his food.
